Military Style Jackets

I've always like the military jackets, they are perfect for between change of seasons, and they go with almost everything, besides they last like forever, because the more worn out they look, the better.

Last weekend I bought one, and now I'm need of some ideas to get the most of this pieces, so this is what I found.

Siempre me han gustado las chaquetas militares, perfectas para entretiempo y se llevan con casi todo, ademas de durar por mucho tiempo si tomamos en cuenta que estas entre mas gastadas, mejor. 

El fin de semana me compré una, asi que ahora necesito ideas para poder sacarle mas provecho a esta pieza, asi que esto fue lo que encontré.

The downtown Manhattan retail store is always looking to showcase American and abroad talent in fashion, and also collaborating with celebrities and designers like Chloe Sevigny, Rodarte, Keds, Levi's and right now with The Muppet's, creating very stylish and unique items.

So I here I show some of my favorites items from their collaborations, on their online store.

La tienda de moda, Opening Ceremony, que se encuentra en el centro de Manhattan, se ha encargado de impulsar el talento de diseñadores americanos y extranjeros talentosos, colaborando además con celebridades como Chloe Sevigny, Rodarte, Keds, Levi's y ahora mismo con Los Muppet's, creando asi articulos únicos y muy a la moda.

A jewelry line I just found and I loved!

St Kilda

Today I found a tweet from Garance Doré, talking about some bracelets she love to use, and among them was one that I really loved, a cuff with pink lips that remind me a little about the 80's jewelry, but with a more delicate touch, then I went directly to the jewelry home page, named St Kilda, based in Brooklyn, NYC, where I found a lovely Russian designer, Nora Kogan, citizen of the world, she has lived in many different places like Australia, Italy and Israel, in the last one she discovered that she wanted to be a jewelry designer and she found her inspiration.

Her line is strong, different, charming, you have to discover it yourself by looking through this pictures of her work.

It's called St kilda because this was the city where she lived in Australia, full of artists, intellectuals, refugees of the world, hookers and junkies, a surreal world, as she describes in her "about" section here.

Hoy mientras revisaba mi twitter, descubri unos brazaletes que usa Garance Doré, entre los cuales estaba uno que me fascino, de unos labios color rosa, que me recordaron un poco el estilo de la joyeria de los 80's pero con un toque mucho mas delicado, asi que me fui directo a la página de esta joyería, que se llama St Kilda y se encuentra en Brooklyn, NY, su diseñadora es Nora Kogan, nacida en Rusia, pero ciudadana del mundo, de lugares como Australia, Italia, e Israel, este último donde descubre que nació para hacer joyería.

Art made Fashion, Mary Katrantzou

This London-based Greek designer whose architectural and very detailed dresses inspired in paintings and drawings caught everyone's eyes, has made it again with this spring 2012 collection, inspired on nature, with metallic touches and elements that transform in to big strokes, that create dreaming dresses and clothing, with a very feminine silhouette.
I really think that anyone that is lucky enough to have a piece of this designer, is also getting a masterpiece of art,  Mary: you really inspire me!

Esta diseñadora griega radicada en Londres, cuyos vestidos arquitectonicamente detallados e inspirados en oleos parecían un sueño, vuelve a hacer de las suyas con esta colección para la primavera 2012, inspirada en la naturaleza, con toques metálicos y elementos que se distorsionan en grandes pinceladas, para crear vestidos de ensueño, con caídas y vuelos femeninos.
Realmente les digo que cualquiera que tenga la suerte de contar con una pieza de esta diseñadora, tambien está contando con una verdadera obra de arte, esta diseñadora de verdad que me inspira!

Luxury RINGS, affordable versions.

I've always been a ring-lover girl, it's my favorite piece of jewelry, and lately I've spotted some that I like to have, but  the prices on many of them are so high that it's impossible to have them, that's why I had to look for cheaper (but gorgeous) versions of them, they're not exactly knock offs, so don't expect to see the exact copy of the rings, instead, the rings I found are inspired on the luxury ones.

Siempre he sido una amante de los anillos, es mi pieza favorita de joyeria, y ultimamente he visto algunos que me gustaría tener, pero cuyos precios son tan altos que es imposible comprarlos, es por eso que me puse a buscar versiones mas económicas (pero fantasticas) de los anillos, no son una imitación, por lo que no esperes ver una copia exacta de los anillos, más bien, los que encontré están inspirados on las versiones costosas.

Remember the LANVIN video I shared with you here, where models Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmerman danced to a Pitbull song rhytm, well now at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week someone had the marvelous idea of   making a video like the LANVIN one, starring the attendees to the fashion shows, enjoy it, as Lucky Magazine  said, the video is Proof that fashion people can't actually dance, but are a lot of fun anyway. 


Recuerdas el video de LANVIN que comparti contigo aquí, donde las modelos Karen Elson y Raquel Zimmerman bailaban al ritmo de una canción de Pitbull, bueno pues aprovechando el Mercedes Benz Fashion Week a alguien se le ocurrio la maravillosa idea de hacer este video teniendo como protagonistas a los invitados a los shows que se presentaron, asi que disfrutalo, como dijo la revista Lucky, el video es prueba de que la gente fashionista no es tan buena para bailar, pero vaya que son divertidos!

I'm so excited to know that from September 7th I'm able to shop online at one of my favorites stores in the whole world!, the nearest one from my city was 3 hours away from me so I missed lots and tons of fantastic items every week, but now I can have everything I want!, now my only problem is going to be on deciding what to buy and to control my impulse to buy at their online store :)

Estoy feliz de saber que a partir del 7 de Septiembre podré comprar finalmente en una de mis tiendas favoritas en el mundo entero, gracias a su tienda en linea para Estados Unidos, antes la tienda ZARA mas cercana a mi estaba a 3 horas de viaje en carro, asi que me perdia constantemente muchisimas cosas fabulosas cada semana, pero ahora podré comprar todo  lo que se me antoje!, solo que mi único problema será decidir que es lo que voy a comprar y sobretodo controlar mi impulso de querer comprar todo lo que vea en su tienda :)
