Last week I saw a gold glitter headband at Target, but instead of buying it for like $10 dollars , I decided this was perfect for my first DIY post, something very easy to do and very affordable.

I'm making this early Christmas list to make life easier for my husband, family and friends, so they can get a big clue on  what I like and then maybe buy something for me from the list (I wish ha!), anyway, my kids made their Santa Claus letters this week and sent them to the North Pole with my help ;) then why can't I do the same via my blog?, I've been nice too :) so here we go dear Santa!

Estoy haciendo esta lista de navidad antes de tiempo, para facilitarles la vida a mi esposo, familia y amigos, para que puedan darse una Gran idea de lo que me gusta y entonces quizás comprarme algo de esta lista (eso quisiera ha!), de cualquier manera, mis hijos ya hicieron sus cartas a Santa Claus esta semana y las enviaron al Polo Norte con mi ayuda ;), asi que porque no yo también le hago mi propia carta a Santa via mi blog?, También me he portado bien :), asi que aquí vamos Santa!

I've been wanting to write about Pamela Love Jewelry for a while, and now is the perfect moment, because I want to show you the autumn winter collection of one of my favorites jewelry designers, I'm sure you're going to recognize and adore her style cause she has lots of famous fans like Chiara Ferragni (see her wearing her gold claw bangle), Alexa Chung (check her wearing her necklaces, with Pamela in the pic), and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld (with her talon claw too), among many other that have fallen for her unique jewelry creations.

Day of the Dead~Dia de los Muertos

November 2nd is a very important day for Mexican culture, it's the day when we celebrate life by remembering our loved ones that have gone before us, contrary at what many think, this is a celebration full of joy and colors, of laughter and some tears, it's a moment  for gathering, where the families celebrate their own traditions, for me, it brings me back to my childhood memories, full of altars that offered our loved ones  their favorite meals and more, in belief that they will come in the night and enjoy what we prepared for them, I remember the yellow and orange flowers all around, the sugar skulls that didn't taste good but were so cute, I remember the cemeteries full of people singing, praying, laughing, remembering.

This is a very mexican party, a day where we celebrate life and death, and it make us believe that the soul never die.

And because this is a fashion blog, I found some interesting items that I want to share with you, enjoy!

El 2 de Noviembre marca una de las celebraciones mas importantes para cualquier mexicano, es en el dia de los muertos que celebramos la vida, recordando a nuestros seres queridos que han partido antes que nosotros, contrario a lo que se pueda pensar, este dia esta lleno de colores, de fiesta, de risas y algunas lágrimas, es un momento de reunión, donde las familias cumplen sus tradiciones y recuerdan a los suyos, para mi es recordar una infancia llena de altares que ofrecian a los nuestros sus comidas favoritas, sus pasatiempos, sus flores, en fin, recuerdo las calaveritas de azúcar que aunque no me gustaba comer si me encantaba tener por todo mi cuarto, recuerdo las flores amarillas y naranjas de cémpsasuchil, los cementerios llenos de gente que ese día va y limpia y adorna las tumbas de los suyos, les canta, les reza, les platica, en fin!

Esta es una fiesta muy mexicana, es un día que los vivos convivimos con los muertos, y que nos hace creer que el alma no muere.

Y como este es un blog de moda, encontré varias cosas interesantes con este tema, disfrutenlo!

The Best of Versace for H&M

Today I was able to get a look at the Very Best of Versace for H&M collection at Polyvore (where the coolest contest is being held, check it here), they really are some of the best pieces of the Versace history, you can see the Gianni touch in the print shirts, dresses and scarves (among others) that absolutely reminds us about the 90's, the dresses with the Versace touch, the studs, the eccentricity and the timeless pieces. 

I really love this collaboration, available on H&M stores starting november 19th, in the meanwhile enjoy some of my favorites items.

Hoy finalmente pude echarle un vistazo a una colección de la colaboración de Versace para H&M en Polyvore (donde se está llevando a cabo un concurso espectacular, para entrar dale click aqui). De verdad que las piezas son definitivamente de lo mejor de la historia de Versace, claramente podemos observar la influencia de Gianni en los impresos de los vestidos, camisas y pañoletas (entre otros), y que nos recuerdan los años 90's, además encontraremos los vestidos con el toque de Versace, la excentricidad y las piezas clásicas.

A mi realmente me ha encantado esta colaboración, disponible en las tiendas de H&M a partir de Noviembre 17, por mientras disfuta mirando algunos de mis preferidos.

Cutest Makeup Around

I love makeup! But I even love more a beautiful makeup case, believe me, I'm the one who buy a lipstick or eyeshadow just because a chic design, like that cat face lipstick from Paul & Joe, or the Burberry checks embossed lipstick, and what about the elegant and chic designs of Tom Ford, YSL and Estée Lauder. 

The only thing I don't like is that in an effort to prevent wearing them down you won't want to use them very much, but I definitely want to take them with me when I'm going out, I'll love to get these in public for a makeup retouch and get tons of compliments for their unique and very chic design.

Me encanta el maquillaje! pero aún me encanta mas un estuche de maquillaje hermoso, créeme, soy de las que puede comprar un lipstick o una sombra de ojos solo porque su diseño me enamora, como el lipstick con la cara de gatito de Paul & Joe, o el de Burberry con su clásico diseño a cuadros, y que tal los diseños sobrios pero super elegantes de Tom Ford, YSL o Estée Lauder.

Lo único malo es que en un esfuerzo por evitar que no se desgasten no los vas a querer usar tanto como quisieras, pero definitivamente vas a querer llevarlos cuando salgas a cenar o bailar, a mi me encantaría usar uno de estos en público y recibir muchísimos halagos por su diseño tan único y tan chic.

Everyone in the fashion blogosphere have their favorites, the famous bloggers we admire so much and whose we seek for inspiration. We love their sense of style, their gorgeous outfits and their lifestyle.

But they weren't famous when they started, even some of their blogs began with posts that no one commented or they had like 5 followers to start with, but now they have grown to be very famous (and some of them don't answer your comments anymore, they have so many that I wan't to think that is maybe because of lack of time), anyway, I went to their archive to show you the evolution of some of these famous bloggers, is not only that their pictures have more resolution or that they promote a very famous brand, it's their style who has evolved and they have become  a fashion inspiration and trendsetters around the world.

Todas las que estamos involucradas en el mundo de los blogs de moda, tenemos a nuestras favoritas, las bloggeras famosas que tanto admiramos y en los cuales buscamos inspiración. Nos encanta su estilo, sus maravillosos outfits y su estilo de vida de ensueño.

October color is pink. The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is celebrating 25 years of awareness, education and empowerment.

There's still much to do, we have to take care of ourselves, listen to our body and make regular self-breast exams to identify any changes, and of course, you can help in many ways, you can donate to different organizations that need resources for research and treatments, or you can buy some of these items and help the cause.

Octubre se pinta de rosa. Este mes se celebran 25 años de recordarnos la importancia de apoyar a la lucha contra esta enfermedad. En este tiempo se ha logrado llamar la atención de muchas mujeres, asi como ha aumentado la educación en este tema.
Aún queda mucho por hacer, tenemos que cuidarnos todas, escuchar a nuestro cuerpo, hacernos auto-revisiones mensuales para identificar a tiempo cualquier cambio, asi como apoyar de otras maneras, ya sea donando a diferentes organizaciones de ayuda que necesitan recursos para tratamientos e investigaciones. Tambien puedes ayudar comprando alguno de los articulos que presento a continuación.

Jason Wu for Target

After the succesful Missoni Collaboration, today Target has presented their next collaboration with the amazing Jason Wu!, I really hope this time they are more prepared because I like many many others couldn't get anything at their stores (well, I only bought some decorative items I found, but no clothing at all), everything was gone in a few hours, and it was very frustrating to see that eBay had more than 50,000 items on sale from this collaboration, from people that was reselling at higher prices, not fair!

So this time they either prepare more or I'm going to be very early so I could buy something from Wu! The collection will be available on Feb. 2012.

In the meanwhile, let me show you some of my favorites from Jason Wu, so you can get an idea on what to expect for this collection.

Después de la exitosa colaborción entre Target y Missoni, hoy la tienda ha anunciado su nueva colaboración con el fantastico diseñador Jason Wu. Realmente espero que esta vez la tienda esté mejor preparada que como lo estuvo con Missoni, ya que esa vez yo como muchas no pudimos encontrar nada, todo voló de las tiendas en unas pocas horas, y fue deprimente ver como eBay se llenaba de estos artículos por gente que los revendía a precios mucho mas altos, no fue justo!

Así que esta vez, o se preparan mejor o yo tendré que estar antes de que abran sus puertas ese dia para poder comprar algo de Jason que mostrarles a ustedes.

Por mientras, dejenme mostrarles algunos de mis outfits favoritos de las colecciones de Wu, tanto la de la primavera 2012 como otras pasadas, para que se vayan dando una idea de que es lo que podrán conseguir en Febrero en los Target's.

Glitter Sneakers

Are you a glitter lover? In case you are, you're going to love the new trend imposed by Miu Miu's gold and silver studded and jeweled sneakers (maybe I like them so much because they remind me about those Dorothy red glittered shoes I always wanted but never had), but at more than $400 dollars they're a little bit out of the range of many of us, that's why I look for affordable versions, finding some at Zara, and even found the greatest DIY tutorial on how to make this sneakers with a pair of plain white vans.

So go ahead and try the trend, glitter is fun for grown-ups too (and I'm finally going to make my glitter shoes childhood dream come true in a more stylish version).

Te gusta la brillantina? En eses caso, te va a encantar la nueva moda que ha impuesto Miu Miu con sus tennis abrillantados y llenos de joyeria, (yo quizas los amo demasiado porque me recuerdan aquellos zapatos rojos de Dorothy que siempre quizé y que nunca tuve), pero como estos cuestan mas de $400 dólares creo que están fuera del rango de muchas de nosotras, por lo que me puse a buscar versiones mas económicas, entre las que encontré unos de Zara e incluso un tutorial maravilloso de como hacerlos tu misma utilizando un par de tennis blancos tipo Vans. 
Asi que animate, prueba esta moda que viene con todo, la brillantina también es divertida para las más grandecitas (y por fin podré cumplir mi sueño de ponerme mis zapatos que tanto quizé en una versión mas moderna y renovada)
