DIY Caviar Nails

If you're on Pinterest (the most addictive place on internet right now) then perhaps your might have noticed a picture of the caviar nails, yes, the new nail trend that is the 2012 version of the glitter ones.
Since I've bought these mini beads several months ago at Michael's I had to try the trend ASAP,and actually  it was really easy, but it will get easiest as soon as  UK nail polish brand Ciaté launches their new caviar nails kits that are going to be available at Sephora in the US. BTW, I just checked Ciaté homepage and as you could imagine, kits are sold out due to popular demand.
Either you could join their waiting list or you coul buy your mini beads and follow my tutorial :D

INSPIRATION
MY DIY
You'll need clear nail gloss polish, mini beads (I bought mine at Michael's, the brand is Recollections) in several colors or any color you like and a toothpick. I only painted the trend on my ring finger, this is more my style, painting the rest with silver polish, but you could do caviar on all nails.

Start by mixing all the colors you want to use on a small recipient (I used the top of a frapuccino bottle), then mix them all with a toothpick.

Add a coat of clear gloss polish (the thicker the better), and immediately after sprinkle the beads to the nail, pressing with your finger to help the beads adhere.
Using a toothpick and a clear gloss, you can pick one by one more beads to fulfill the nail with them.
That's it, what about you, do you like the trend?

    1. Thank you dear! for my surprise it is lasting more than I expected, three days and the beads are intact, I think that is because the gloss was really thick.
