Ever since I entered Pinterest I've been adding many many pins from things that I would love to make, including the most delicious food recipes, diy projects and ideas for renovating my home, I spent many many hours looking at all the amazing pins (I even turned my mom in to a Pinterest addict), but it was time to put those pins on action and actually turn those great ideas into reality.
I revamped my office space (a corner in my hallway), because I like to be surrounded by pretty things and I needed a better environment to look at when working or blogging.
It all started with this pin from Jones Design company, it was the best tutorial ever on how to paint a wallpaper (template included), so I went directly to their site and printed out the design and start tracing it over on my wall.
I traced the template on the wall with pencil, the tutorial explains how to make the double lines.
Almost Done!
It really added light to my space and hallway.
I added some frames using a technique I learned at Pinterest, it was so easy to hang the frames with this pin that involves wax paper. I also added a mirror and of course my cork pinboard, these frames used to be dark brown but I painted them with gold and white spray paint.
Thanks to my dearest Akua from Iced Media who sent me many gifts from NYFW SS12, including and ALDO magazine that I used as art for these frames. I also used some of my personal pictures.
Fashion Inspiration
I bought that mirror at Wal Mart for $1.99 it was perfect because it's white & gold.
Another Pinterest used! I got the idea from this Pin, perfect for holding my iPhone charger.
And for those books that used to be on my desk, I made my own library, I bought some shelves at Lowe's and the brackets are from Home Depot. No, I didn't hung them, I don't have a drill (gotta buy one) so I had to call the carpenter.
I'm working on my hallway too, I painted white all the old frames I could find.
BEFORE
And here is the desk space before the revamping.
AFTER
Now I want a white Mac to combine with my color palette! hehe!
Thank you Pinterest and all the pinners for let us inspire with so many beautiful things!
